Observation Details

Some text content is written in a way, assistive technology has problems to announce it correctly. I will list fixes for some issues in the remediation notes.

Remediation Notes

  • "SOS-Knopf" is announced "Schosch-Knopf" (same for SOS-Kontakte, SOS-...); removing the hyphen makes the screen reader announce it as intended → "SOS Knopf", "SOS ..."

  • "x" in "Abmessungen" or "Auflösung" (Technische Daten) – e.g. "45,2 x 14,9 mm" (multiple occurrences found) is announced as letter X; use appropriate multiply symbol → "45,2 × 14,9 mm"

  • Time frames "36-48 Stunden" (and other "X bis Y") – "bis" is not announced in default screen reader settings; use word "bis" ideally to ensure default settings announce it as well → "36 bis 48 Stunden"
