Observation Details
While having the animation pause button as the first interactive element after the navigation does make sense, the visual presentation does not match the focus order. As the footnote that is focused after, is visually quite small, perception of the focus state can be an issue, as the eyes try to find a focussed state after the pause button.
Remediation Notes
Place the animation pause button in the top left corner to avoid mismatches between expected and actual focus order.
